West Paps Quarry Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated business, situated 10 km west of Mansfield, just off to the left hand side of the Maroondah Hwy in the beautiful Victorian High Country.

West Paps Quarry is a company founded on strong family values and commitment to the communities of Mansfield and neighbouring shires. Established in 2002, by Norm Pigdon and managed by Brendan for the past 4 years. We aim to steadily grow our business; excelling in customer service and innovation while building strong partnerships with our valued customers and suppliers.

our history

The Quarry has seen a massive amount of change and growth, but the company culture of hard work and family values continues just as strongly today as when it all began. In the beginning Norm Pigdon started supplying the Mansfield shire and beyond with “Paps gravel”that has stood the test of time as a quality road making product. Many shire, farm and domestic roads and driveways have been built using this superior product. As time went by and gravel was extracted at the quarry, Norm eventually dug his way down onto solid rock that now is used to make our crushed rock and aggregate products.

Delivering our products on time is essential to meeting our clients’ requirements. At West Paps Quarry we pride ourselves on punctual delivery. Our experienced and enthusiastic delivery drivers get great satisfaction in knowing the customs are satisfied with their quality work. With our late model trucks and trailers customers can rely on their product being delivered on time.

Single Axle Tip Trucks

Capable of carrying a maximum load of approximately 8.5 tonnes or 6 cubic metres.

Tandem Tip Trucks

Capable of carrying a maximum load of of approximately 14.5 tonnes or 9 cubic metres.

Measuring 2.7M Wide and 3.1M High

Truck & Trailer Tippers

Capable of carrying a maximum load of approximately 30 tonnes or 20 cubic metres.

West Paps Quarry is dedicated to providing a healthy and safe work environment for all staff, contractors, clients and visitors. Our staff are experienced at assessing and controlling hazards and risks on site whilst delivering products.

We also recognise how fatigue affects a person’s health, how it increases the chance of workplace injuries occurring, and reduces the performance and productivity within the workplace. Therefore, we have a number of guidelines in place to combat this.

West Paps Quarry ensures its plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standard available to ensure the health and safety of all personnel involved.
